The OvaEasy 100 is best suited to single-stage incubation, where a batch of eggs is set at one time and all hatch together. Eggs sit in trays on two tilting shelves which are levelled for hatching at a single button press, and the two hatching covers supplied contain the chicks safely. Multiple small fans move air in laminar flow around the chamber, which distributes heat far more evenly than one large fan, and combined with the heavily insulated cabinet it holds temperature consistently right through the egg space.
What the Connect adds is peace of mind away from the shed. Built-in Wi-Fi links the cabinet to the free Brinsea Connect app for Apple and Android, which mirrors every function on the control panel. You can view and change temperature, humidity, turning and cooling in real time from anywhere, and you get an immediate alert if anything drifts out of range or the power fails. If your internet drops out the incubator carries on exactly as normal - the eggs are never at risk.

The OvaEasy 100 arrives with its universal trays, hatching covers and humidity pump, so nothing extra is needed to run it. What breeders do add is a good candler to pull clears early and free up tray space, and an independently calibrated thermometer to check the cabinet against.

The OvaEasy 100 EX Connect Series III is the smallest of the Series III cabinets and the natural step up from a tabletop machine. It brings app control, fully automatic humidity and Brinsea's laminar airflow into a cabinet that still fits comfortably on a bench.
Series III is a genuine change rather than a facelift. The shelves and brackets lift straight out for hassle-free deep cleaning between batches, there is bright internal LED lighting, the digital display is back-lit, and the whole machine talks to the Brinsea Connect app on your phone.

Performance and ease of use
Multiple small fans blowing air in laminar flow around the egg chamber give far better temperature distribution than a single large fan. Combined with the laminated high-density polystyrene insulation, temperature is held evenly right through the chamber, which is what produces consistent hatch rates batch after batch.
Eggs are held in removable trays. The two universal trays supplied have adjustable dividers and take a wide range of egg sizes from quail through to goose, at some cost to maximum capacity. Optional species-specific trays are available where you are running one species in volume.
