The Origin Candlers show what others don’t. The Origin Candler is the one you reach for every hatch — high-intensity white light so you can see inside: veins, air cells, development. When you need the shell as well as the shadow, that’s the Origin UV Candler.
A wide nozzle that seals against the egg. A second cone nozzle with a lens for when you need a tight beam through a dark or thick shell. It does one job and does it properly.
Two nozzles, two jobs
- Wide nozzle — sits flat against the shell and floods the whole egg. This is the one you’ll use for day-to-day candling on light and mid-tone shells.
- Cone nozzle with lens — concentrates the light into a directed beam for dark, speckled or thick-shelled eggs, where a flood just scatters.
Swapping between them takes a second, and having both is the difference between reading a Marans egg and guessing at it.
What you’ll see
From around day five you’re looking for the spider-web of veining and a dark spot that moves. By the second week the air cell is obvious and you can mark it. By lockdown you’re checking the draw-down line. Clears and early quitters show up straight away — the sooner you pull them, the less you’re risking the rest of the hatch.
